Why I started donating kits to kids

Two years ago when my uncle was in the hospital, I saw many families staying overnight without basic necessities. Seeing their struggle, I felt bad.
My dad and I created hygiene kits for them with soap, toothbrushes, and other essentials. It was a small gesture, but seeing the relief it brought was amazing. It helped me understand that kindness and empathy aren't just about feeling for others; it's about taking that extra step to help, no matter how small. This realization truly changed my outlook.
I regularly donate kits to organizations like the Children's Benioff Organization and Lucille Packard Organization. But, I am making kits for kids who are in the hospital getting treated. I feel that they are truly in need. I try to help by donating these kits every couple of months. On occasion, I also donate art kits, which bring them joy. These donations have become a part of who I am now.
This experience has helped me see how to turn compassion into action. I am now looking for ways to help. Even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference.
